As an Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting that supports effective decision-making and operational performance. Working closely with hotel leadership and cross-functional teams, you will uphold IHG financial standards while continuously improving processes and controls. Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

  • To supervise daily accounting operations, supervising, controls, mentoring staff, ensuring teamwork and efficient and effective operation.
  • To verify daily bank balances through review of bank statements, prepare bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation for Director of Finance approval.
  • To verify the accuracy of General Cashier report and that revenue are daily deposited into the bank by the General Cashier.
  • To perform month-end accounts reconciliation of all general ledger balances before issuing monthly financial statements. Report any gaps or variance to the Director of Finance.
  • To review monthly report like F&B report, Cost Controller’s report etc. as per hotel policy
  • To ensure all tax payment and filing are respected timely, and variances are resolved.
  • To prepare various monthly reports as required by Management.
  • To assist the Director of Finance in reviewing CAPEX, application of accounting policy, budgeting, financial analysis, and Ad hoc duties.
  • To ensure proper filing of accounting records, including contracts, and easy retrievals.
  • To keep updated with new regulations and IHG policies.
