Your day to day

• Lead and support the Food & Beverage team to deliver exceptional guest experiences across all outlets
• Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and events service areas
• Ensure service standards, food quality, and presentation consistently meet InterContinental brand expectations
• Conduct team briefings, allocate duties, and provide on-shift coaching and support
• Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly resolve feedback and service recovery opportunities
• Assist with onboarding, training, and development of Food & Beverage colleagues
• Drive sales through menu knowledge, upselling, and promotional activities
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, grooming, and workplace presentation
• Support rostering, labour management, and departmental productivity goals
• Monitor stock levels, ordering, stock rotation, and inventory control procedures
• Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, and workplace health and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and hotel teams to deliver seamless service
• Assist the Restaurant Manager with achieving departmental revenue and performance targets
• Complete administrative and operational tasks required to support the department's success

What we need from you

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory or leadership role within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and professional approach
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage service standards and operations
• Experience handling guest concerns and resolving issues effectively
• A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia
