As a Food & Beverage Host/Hostess, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant and a key ambassador for the hotel’s guest experience. You will greet and engage with guests in a warm, professional manner, ensuring every interaction reflects genuine hospitality. 

Beyond managing seating and reservations, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences by anticipating guest needs, recommending signature dishes, promoting hotel amenities, and suggesting local tours or experiences that enhance their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all guests and confirm reservation details in a warm and professional manner 
  • Liaise with Restaurant Manager and Assistant F&B Manager prior to start of shift on reservation details and seating arrangements. 
  • Maintain an approachable demeanour and polished appearance in line with brand standards.
  • Escort guests to their tables with attention to comfort, preferences, and reservation details.
  • Confidently recommend dining options, hotel services, and local experiences tailored to guest interests.
  • Engage guests in conversation to identify opportunities to enhance their visit, including spa treatments, room upgrades, or curated tours to complement their stay
  • Obtain feedback from guests on their overall dining experience and in case they are guests of our hotels, obtain feedback on their overall stay
  • Check, encourage and follow up on guest reviews on social media channels
  • Collaborate closely with the service team to ensure personalized and seamless dining experiences.
  • Handle phone and in-person reservations accurately, noting special requests and dietary preferences.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date booking records using the reservation system.
  • Be fully knowledgeable about the menu, wine list, ongoing promotions, and hotel offerings.
  • Promote special events, exclusive packages, and seasonal activities to drive guest engagement.
  • Uphold service standards and hospitality protocols in all interactions.
  • Proactively resolve guest concerns or escalate them promptly with detailed information.
  • Perform opening and closing duties efficiently to support smooth restaurant operations.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for guest interaction.
  • Strong product knowledge and enthusiasm for recommending experiences.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude under pressure.
  • Familiarity with POS and reservation systems.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
