Under the  general guidance  and  supervision of  the Executive  Housekeeper or  delegate and within  the established IHG policies and procedures, Responsible for the cleanliness of hotel Rooms . Also, need to train and inspect the performance of assigned Rooms supervisors and attendants. Ensuring that all procedures are completed as per the hotel's operating standards. In charge and observe cleaning activity of Floors rooms, Service areas, Corridors Also responsible for ensuring that the attendants are equipped with proper supplies and equipment to perform highest level of cleaning.

Your day-to-day

  • 1. To ensure that high level of personal grooming is maintained at all times
  • 2. Interacts with Guests as well as individuals outside the hotel including suppliers, contractors.
  • 3. Cooperates, coordinates and communicates well with other Department Heads or Assistants.
  • 4. Oversees supervision of all Housekeeping Areas and Staff.
  • 5. Monitors the H/K personal to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service.
  • 6. Monitors staff working schedules to meat peak and slack period including staff vacation.
  • 7. Coordinates with F/O about accurate room status and additionally to communicate with engineering and laundry on maintenance report status and linen statues
  • 8. Conducts routine inspection of all H/K areas including occupied rooms and VIP’s.
  • 9. Assists on monitoring and controlling inventories of operating equipment, linen and uniforms.  To ensure par stock are maintained and cost are controlled.  Assist on the preparation of the annual budget.
  • 10. Maintain “Open Door” communication for all housekeeping employees.
  • 11. Makes sure that the staff follows the rules and regulations of the department as well as those of the hotel as a whole.
  • 12. Ensures the Housekeeping Department operates within and guidelines set.
  •  
  • 13. Interacts with guest as well as individuals outside the hotel including suppliers and contractors.
  • 14. Conducts semi-annual performance appraisals, prepares actions plans to improve individual skills and knowledge if necessary.
  • 15. Attend departmental meetings as well the monthly rooms division meeting
  • 16. Prepare working schedule for all housekeeping areas
  • 17. Staff selecting, hiring according to the job qualification.

  • 18. Train and develop staff according to the pre set training plan
  • 19. Measure on daily basis the compliance of set standards.
  • 20. Periodically review and up date the departmental standards
  • 21. Responsible for increasing and maintaining staff performance
  • 22. To adhere to standards and procedures
  • 23. To take disciplinary action when ever needed
  • 24. Responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene within the working areas
  • 25. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment and utensils
  • 26. Assist in setting up the hotel annual budget
  • 27. To complete all business plan issues
  • 28. To hold departmental meetings and briefings.
  • 29.Performs any other duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • 30.Demonstrate awareness and adhere to the occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures. 
  • 31.Be familiar with the Hotel safety, first aid, fire and emergency procedures and operating equipment safely and responsibly.
  • 32.Report security incidents and accidents in accordance with the Hotel requirements.  

 

 

 

What we need from you
  • A bachelor's degree or any relevant studies ideally.
  • 5 years of proven experience in luxurious hotels as with relevant Training & certificates.
  • Excellent communication skills in both directions of management and the scaled English language score for the position
