The Manager of Americas Commercial Marketing will manage the development and execution of marketing initiatives focused on driving commercial performance globally with a primary responsibility for the Americas region. These initiatives include rate-based, commercial partnerships, brands and segments, and Masterbrand or multi-branded campaigns. Manager will ensure effective implementation of initiatives and serve as liaison with internal services, external agencies and hotels for related projects. Optimize all available channels and communication vehicles and develop tactical recommendations to meet commercial objectives. May lead and review the work of less experienced staff by providing mentoring, technical guidance and/or training in daily activities.
Your day to day
- Manage the development and implementation of Commercial Marketing strategies and Americas region-specific programs, ensuring effective/efficient use of all available channels, including but not limited to paid, owned, earned and partner channels and touchpoints
- Work with cross-functional teams and channel leads to develop plans for each initiative, including but not limited to selection of target audience, creative approach, offer/ incentive and production details; present materials/recommendations to the Manager for approval; implement approved initiatives.
- Partnering with Marketing Effectiveness to monitor and optimize campaign performance in real-time, ensuring each campaign/initiative has proper controls in place for accurate measurement and analysis; present results and recommendations for next iteration to manager for approval.
- Lead and execute programs and initiatives, across Global Marketing Shared Services and IHG systems/operations.
- Support manager with other marketing projects as necessary.
- Monitor all relevant competitive activity across all elements of the marketing mix and make appropriate recommendations to management.
What we need from you
- 8+ years’ progressive work-related experience in marketing, advertising, and/or hotel industry experience related to sales and/or brand marketing, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles and concepts and an understanding of marketing best practices across upper/mid/lower funnel tactics
- Ability to develop and present data-driven recommendations successfully, promotes items persuasively, and shapes the opinions of others.
- Demonstrated effective problem solving and analytical skills for the purpose of evaluating marketing data and trends, business performance, and resolving issues with marketing programs and/or implementation.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability and creative thinking skills as evidenced by prior campaigns.
- Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale marketing projects from conception through implementation and evaluation in a large company.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused orientation, including providing clear, accurate information; explaining procedures or materials or providing supplemental information; anticipating problems or questions.
- Fundamental knowledge of digital paid media best practices a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
The salary range for this role is $58,844 to $100,00. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
