Your day-to-day
Ensures the prospecting, loyalty enhancement, promotion and sales of rooms, conferences and banquets for GCC segment and applies the hotels' commercial policy.
Promote Intercontinental Geneva to third party revenue-producing entities, such as, but not limited to, HNWI, royal families, tour operators, travel agents, conference/event organisers and corporate or individual guests from within the region.
Develops the loyalty, market and conquest plans for the defined targets and according to the markets and intermediaries.
Implements sales action plans (account plans, account goals, strategy by segment, calendar-action plan).
Maintains and develops his existing markets, anticipates emerging markets and studies the competitive market.
Based as close as possible to the GCC clientele, works closely with the DOS and the Sales Manager in charge of this segment in Geneva, and regularly visits hotels in Geneva.
Ensures the processing of important guest requests in a personalized way and formulates proposals adapted to the requests.
Establishes estimates according to clients’ requests and conducts commercial negotiations.
Is responsible for negotiation, site inspections and contract signing.
Maintains high quality contact with key clients.
Listens constantly to the clients, pays attention to their reactions and comments and to the eventual reasons for dissatisfaction. Informs his hierarchy in order to make the necessary changes to restore client satisfaction.
Enters information into Delphi and Opera (with activity management, notes), coordination of inspection visits, fam trip, etc.).
Rigorously records all information about a potential hotel guest, whether for banquets, conferences or rooms, and transmits this information to the appropriate people.
Keeps up to date with regards to market trends.
Knows perfectly our offers in order to be able to provide any information to our guests.
Keeps informed of all events taking place inside and outside the hotel (fairs, conventions, meetings, exhibitions, etc.) and ensures that all employees present are duly informed.
Conveys the right values and the good behaviors in his service as well as towards his colleagues and his hierarchy.
Informs the Management Team of any incident or problem that occurs during work hours, particularly those he is not able to solve or whose importance justifies it, whether it concerns work-related issues or employee-related problems.
Applies procedures and policies within the hotel and all new procedures according to the management orders and submits new propositions to the Management in order to improve the department efficiency.
Applies the internal procedures in terms of health, hygiene and safety.
Applies and enforces environmental good practices in his department, particularly as part of the Green Globe certification (waste sorting, black & white printing, paperless meeting, etc.).
May exceptionally perform other duties at the request of his hierarchy.
What we need from you
Higher Degree in Hospitality Management and/or Business Administration. 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position within a hotel establishment of the same category (4- or 5- star) and capacity (+200 rooms).
Fluent French, English and Arabic.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Delphi and Opera.
