The Director of Global Pricing ensures the Global Pricing Offers and Strategies are aligned across regions to ensure optimal business mix and market share are achieved at IHG hotels around the globe. They lead strategic commercial efforts to ensure new brands and hotels reach fair share as quickly as possible.
Your day to day
- Own the Global Pricing Strategy including Retail Pricing, Discount Pricing, Special Pricing and Closed User Group Pricing.
- Lead the Regional Pricing & Inventory strategy team to develop and deliver Pricing & inventory products to enable regions unlock revenue opportunities to drive Commercial (RM, Channels & Sales) performance
- Determine the Pricing needs of each regions and markets and work with the Global Pricing Operations teams to ensure that the correct pricing structures implemented by region to support the regions drive performance
- Partner with the Global Revenue Product Team and Revenue Services team to implement, roll out and embed any Revenue Management, Pricing and Inventory processes and tools working closely with the Regional Revenue Management Leads
- Ensure Global inventory standards by Brand are relevant in market and optimized to support driving Optimal Revenue performance.
- Work with product and channels teams on defining which products need to be developed that help manage rate, inventory, and channels, incorporating regional nuance and needs
- Work in partnership with the Global Campaigns team to determine the right pricing construct for any Global Campaigns in consultation with the regions
- Act as the Conversion/NHOP Commercial champion, supporting hotels ramp to fair share.
- Lead the Global Pricing Forum, driving alignment across disciplines/segments and maintain a steady state governance across regions.
Support and lead, as needed, the GRS strategy connecting the dots across various stakeholders for revenue and pricing approach/execution.
What we need from you
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Revenue Management, Communications, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
- 10+ years progressive work experience in related fields
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects in a formal program director role
- Experience with multi-national organization preferred
- Ability to build strong working relationships and gain confidence and respect of key leaders
- Requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Flexible approach to change, with a positive attitude to fluctuating workload
- Demonstrated experience developing sales, marketing, segmentation, and pricing strategy for properties in various market situations, as well as leading new team development and maintaining markets.
- Demonstrated understanding of effective sales and revenue management processes.
- Hotel operations and/or regional business unit experience
- Channel and distribution strategy experience
- GRS, RM, and Distribution Systems experience
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the Atlanta office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $159,000.00 to $175,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
