Stellvertretender Bankettmanager

Job Role 

To support the Asst. F&B Manager in planning and executing meetings, conferences, weddings, social events and other functions, ensuring excellent service, smooth operations, guest satisfaction and effective cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Banquet Operations

• Assist in planning and executing all banquet events.
• Ensure function rooms are prepared according to the event requirements.
• Supervise setup, service and breakdown of events.
• Ensure correct seating arrangements, table setups and service standards.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping and other departments.
• Review Banquet Event Orders and communicate requirements to the team.
• Ensure timely food and beverage service.

Guest Experience

• Welcome event organisers and guests.
• Understand event requirements and special requests.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure prompt resolution.
• Monitor service throughout the event.
• Obtain feedback and identify improvement opportunities.

Team Management

• Allocate duties and responsibilities to banquet colleagues.
• Conduct pre-event briefings.
• Monitor grooming, discipline and service standards.
• Coach and guide team members.
• Support training and development of colleagues.

Cost & Inventory

• Control wastage and ensure appropriate use of food, beverage and operating supplies.
• Monitor banquet equipment and inventory.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment.
• Support achievement of departmental financial targets.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Follow fire and life safety procedures.
• Ensure safe setup and movement of banquet equipment.
• Follow IHG standards, hotel SOPs and statutory requirements.

What We Need From You

Education

• Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.

Experience

• 3–5 years of F&B experience.
• Previous banquet/event experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable.

Technical Knowledge

• Banquet setup and event operations.
• BEO understanding and event coordination.
• Food and beverage service.
• Basic cost and inventory control.
• Food safety and hygiene standards.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent event coordination ability.
• Guest-focused and service-oriented.
