Your day to day

As Assistant Director of Sales, reporting to hotels Executive Assistant Manager – Commercial & Rooms, you are responsible for managing the sales team consisting of the Business Development Manager and Event Sales Executive, along with managing allocated segments and related sales activities in line with the annual sales and marketing plan to achieve/exceed budget and support sales strategy for the Hotel. 

We are seeking a results-driven professional to join our team, responsible for generating new business, nurturing existing accounts, and cultivating prospective corporate clients in line with the sales strategy. This role involves negotiating optimal rates to benefit the business, managing a diverse client portfolio, and servicing established accounts to ensure client satisfaction. Additionally, you will analyse market trends, monitor competitor activity, and develop actionable market intelligence. You will lead and manage the sales team to achieve the hotel’s budget goals while driving the overall performance and success of the team.

 

What we need from you

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing and converting business across diverse market segments ideally within a similar style of hotel environment, while successfully managing and leading teams to achieve shared goals. You will build strategic external partnerships to strengthen the hotel’s market position and actively promote the hotel and brand through community and professional engagement.

To excel in this role, you’ll bring demonstrated excellence at a similar level, including outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills. A strong understanding of brand delivery, combined with the ability to inspire teams and influence the overall business agenda and execution, is essential.

Strategic thinking and the ability to explore new ways of working around how we can continue to drive the Hotel, and our high performing sales team forward, will be highly advantageous.
