Position Summary

The Bellman is a key member of the Front Office team, responsible for providing exceptional guest service by assisting with luggage handling, delivering personalized services, and creating a memorable first and last impression for guests. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Arrival and Departure Services

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with unloading luggage from vehicles.
  • Escort guests to their rooms while providing an overview of hotel facilities and room features.
  • Handle luggage storage and retrieval efficiently.
  • Ensure a seamless departure experience by assisting guests with their luggage and transportation needs.

Luggage Handling

  • Safely and carefully handle guest luggage, adhering to hotel protocols to prevent damage or loss.
  • Tag and store luggage securely in the designated storage area when required.

Guest Assistance

  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, such as delivering packages, documents, or other items to guest rooms.
  • Offer directions and information about local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options.
  • Assist with valet parking services, if applicable.

Hotel Operations Support

  • Coordinate with the Front Desk, Concierge, and Housekeeping teams to meet guest needs efficiently.
  • Deliver amenities, rollaway beds, or other special requests to guest rooms as needed.
  • Ensure the lobby and entrance areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Safety and Security

  • Report any safety concerns, maintenance issues, or suspicious activities to the appropriate department.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a guest service or hospitality role preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting and moving luggage .
  • Professional appearance and adherence to hotel grooming standards.
  • Positive attitude, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of the local area and attractions is an asset.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
