Duties and Responsibilities
As F&B Hostess, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
• Fully understand and embrace Six Senses company vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host’s duty.
• Adhere to all Six Senses brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.
• Be present throughout service.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort.
• Maintain an accurate knowledge of all food and beverage activities.
• Provide management with creative ideas.
• Always strive to perform any additional and responsibilities given
• In your working area ensure that all guests are greeted courteously and attentively.
• Have knowledge of guest’s likes and dislikes throughout their stay.
• Fully understand the team goals and objectives, ensuring that the maximum is done to achieve the targets.
• Complete any other duty assigned by management.
• Arrive on time in full uniform in accordance with the company grooming guideline.
• Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in departments standards.
• Escort guest to the table and assist in seating and present the menu
• Ensure that you serve all the guest face towel.
• Assist in the control of their outlet operational budget, ensuring that all costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability.
• Attend regular meetings and briefings to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
• Be familiar with food menus and wine menu offered in outlets.
• Ensure the prompt and efficient service required by the resorts standards.
• Ensure all mis-en-place for restaurant service is correctly prepared prior to opening hour of service.
• Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur.
• Ensure working area is of exemplary clean nature.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Asst. Restaurant Manager.
• Follow opening and closing duties checklist.
Qualifications
To execute the position of F&B Hostess, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year experience in a similar hotel operational role. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• Knowledge of restaurant and bar procedures, set up and service.
• An offering of local language and their customs is highly encouraged.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to multitask.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Fluent in English & Russian; I understand that Turkish and additional languages are preferred.
