Spa Supervisor - Six Senses Quexigal (New Hotel Opening)

As Spa Supervisor, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsibility and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.

Duties and Responsibilities 

As Spa Supervisor, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: 

• I will supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the entire team, ensuring efficient operations and consistent service standards.
• I will ensure that all Spa reception procedures, policies and service standards are properly followed and maintained.
• I will support the Spa Manager and Director of Wellness in ensuring the smooth operation of the Spa.
• I will maintain thorough knowledge of all Spa treatments, wellness activities, fitness classes, facilities, equipment and retail products to provide accurate information to guests.
• I will keep up to date with industry trends and Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices to continuously enhance the guest experience.
• I will monitor daily bookings, appointments and schedules, ensuring accuracy, proper confirmations and effective coordination with therapists and other Spa team members.
• I will welcome, assist and escort guests, explaining treatments and facilities while ensuring a personalised and seamless Spa journey.
• I will monitor guest profiles and preferences, ensuring accurate records and avoiding duplicate entries.
• I will handle guest enquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• I will ensure all telephone calls, emails and reservations are handled efficiently and according to brand standards.
• I will monitor upselling activities and encourage the team to promote treatments, wellness activities, fitness classes and retail products.
• I will ensure the Spa reception and retail areas are clean, organised and properly presented, maintaining merchandising standards.
• I will monitor stock levels of retail products, towels, amenities and operational supplies, assisting with inventories and requisitions when required.
• I will ensure guest billing, payment procedures and daily cashier closures are completed accurately.
• I will conduct regular inspections of Spa reception and guest areas, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and operational readiness.
• I will ensure maintenance issues, guest incidents and Lost & Found items are properly reported and followed up.
• I will assist in training and guiding new Spa Guest Service Agents, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and follow established procedures.
• I will provide regular feedback to the team, support performance improvement and promote effective communication and teamwork.
• I will maintain accurate shift reports, operational records and handovers, ensuring relevant information is communicated to management and the next shift.
• I will attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required by management.
• I will strictly adhere to Six Senses, LQA and Forbes standards, ensuring guest feedback is considered and service expectations are consistently met.
• I will maintain a professional appearance and attitude, demonstrating responsibility, organisation and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.

• I will perform any additional duties assigned by the the Spa Manager and Director of Wellness. 

Qualifications

To execute the position of a Spa Supervisor, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results including the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven references. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

• Graduated or have a broad knowledge of anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, and beauty therapy at either NVQ, ITEC, or CIDESCO.

• Understanding and specialization of various beauty products, aesthetic appliances, their specifications, and uses. Knowledge in the use of facial, nail, or other beauty technology as required to fulfill spa treatments.

• Service-oriented with an eye for details.
• Self-motivated and energetic.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; I understand that additional languages are preferred.  
• Valid authorization to work in Spain is required. Applicants must hold the appropriate visa and/or work permit where applicable.  European visa or valid work permit required.
