Your Day to Day:
As a Steward you will be responsible for performing and executing back of the house cleaning and sanitation duties and ensuring the highest standard of cleaning, hygiene and sanitation at all times.
Some of your main role responsibilities are:
- Perform duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Chief Steward in accordance to established standards of performance and schedule.
- Clean, washes, polishes dishes and other operating equipment in any Food and beverages outlet according to the established hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ensure that all operating and kitchen equipment/utensils are maintained to high standard with minimum breakages.
- Ensure that all machineries and equipment’s are clean and sanitized according to the established hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Keeps all kitchen areas clean, neat, tidy and well organized at all times.
- Removes food waste and garbage at periodic interval or as necessary in accordance with the established sanitation standards.
- Attends meetings, briefings and training session/courses that may be beneficial for both personal and departmental needs.
- Ensure the high standard of personal hygiene and grooming are strictly observed and followed.
- Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Support Chief Steward to plan and organize successful Food and Beverage activities in the hotel and oversee them
- Support Chief Steward to manage all functions of the F&B stewarding operation to achieve optimum departmental profit
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a steward or equivalent combination of education and stewarding operation experience.
- High school certificate or equivalent and any other related qualifications
- Good knowledge of F&B stewarding operation
- Good level of written and verbal Business English
- Basic Food hygiene Training Certification.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-cultural environment
