This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources to evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives at IHG. A strong understanding of media is essential, not only to assess campaign targets but also to evaluate overall performance before and after execution. Additionally, this person will help strengthen the end-to-end campaign framework, ensuring a seamless process from target setting to post-campaign evaluation for continuous optimization. Key responsibilities include developing both standardized and ad hoc reports, conducting in-depth analyses, and creating presentation decks to support strategic decision-making. This role will work closely with Marketing Shared Services, Commercial, Product & Technology teams, as well as external agencies, to enhance marketing effectiveness and drive strategic planning.
Your day to day
- Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-campaign analyses, identifying trends and business opportunities. Design, implement, and communicate reports and analyses to measure campaign/program performance and support strategic planning.
- Strengthen campaign framework from target setting to post-campaign evaluation, optimizing marketing effectiveness through data-backed insights.
- Utilize SQL, Python, Tableau, and Data Warehouse tools to interpret and validate data from multiple sources, analyzing marketing performance across Campaign, Distribution, Loyalty, and Partnership channels.
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in campaigns and projects. Collaborate with Marketing Shared Services, Commercial, Product & Technology teams, and external agencies to enhance effectiveness.
- Proactively identify business and consumer trends, behavioral shifts, and emerging market opportunities through data-driven insights. Present findings and recommendations to relevant business teams.
What we need from you
Education - Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Statistics or Research is preferred.
Basic Qualifications -
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate in a Marketing business analyst, data analyst role
- 5+ years Working knowledge of Relational Marketing Database design and SQL programming. Understand basic principles of marketing as they relate to testing, program implementation, and operations.
- Strong analytical skills. Excellent problem-solving ability. Excellent verbal/written communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to function within a team-oriented environment; must be flexible in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Extensive experience with Tableau, Python, Microsoft Access Database, PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
