Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Spa and Recreation Manager or his/her delegate, and within the limits of established IHG and local Hotel policies and procedures, utilizes specialist skills to provide fitness, sports and recreational activities for customers and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedules fitness, sports and recreational activities.
- Teaches a multitude of exercise techniques from a variety of fitness scenarios.
- Explains and enforces safety rules and regulations governing sports and recreational activities.
- Handles all requests regarding fitness, sport and recreation activities.
- Markets and promotes fitness, sport and recreation activities.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the general principles of fitness and training, concepts of health and the effects of exercise on the human body.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the general principles of nutrition and influence on the performance of exercise activities.
- Provides nutrition and fitness tips to the client to enhance the workout program.
- Develops and maintains professional, safe and effective fitness programs and activities in the fitness center, ensuring correct exercise practice at all times.
- Evaluates individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develops suitable training programs to meet any special requirements.
- Motivates the guests or customers to achieve the set fitness goals.
- Promotes health club through membership sales, and record member information.
- Organizes and supervises regular fitness related activities and events to maximize members enjoyment/use of fitness and to keep ahead with our competition.
- Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.
- Performs related duties and other projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Physical Education Degree from an accredited institution
Skills:
Fluent in Arabic and English
Time management

Ability to motivate
Good communication and listening skills
Experience:
1 to 3 years
