Do you know that GM Ready Program is a talent attraction and cultivation initiative designed by IHG specifically for hotel No. 2 talents in Greater China. This program aims to identify and develop ambitious individuals with the potential to become successful Full-Service Hotel General Managers at IHG in the near future.
Do you know that as a participant in GM Ready Program, you will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience in hotel management, operations, and leadership. You will work closely with experienced General Managers and other key stakeholders to gain insights into the strategic and operational aspects of running a successful hotel.
Do you know that since launched in 2015, GM Ready Program has enrolled approximately 100 participants. Following their successful graduation into General Manager roles, 6 of them have advanced to taking Area/Regional General Manager positions within IHG.
Your Day to Day
- Engage in a comprehensive training curriculum that includes mentorship from experienced General Managers and exposure to hotel management.
- Participate in hands-on learning experiences across key departments.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership to understand operational goals and contribute to achieving them.
- Analyze hotel performance metrics and assist in developing strategies for improvement.
- Support the implementation of IHG’s brand standards and initiatives.
- Participate in leadership development activities, including coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Lead performance-driven project at the hotel.
- Foster networking with team members and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and communication.
What We Need from You
- Proven experience in a Full-Service hotel as Hotel No. 2 (e.g., Resident Manager, Hotel Manager, Executive Assistant Manager, Director of Operations).
- Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related fields (or a college diploma in relevant disciplines).
- Chinese national with the ability to communicate fluently in both Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
- Flexibility to relocate for training and future career opportunities within IHG in Greater China.
- Strong ambition and potential to grow into Full-Service Hotel General Manager position.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
