Key Responsibilities

1. Human Resources Operations

  • Assist in managing daily HR tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the department.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and statutory requirements.

  • Prepare HR reports and support the HRM in financial and departmental budgeting.

     

2. Payroll Administration

  • Manage and oversee payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Handle statutory contributions, leave records, and staff benefits administration.

  • Liaise with Finance for payroll reconciliation.

     

3. Learning & Development

  • Coordinate and monitor training programs in line with IHG brand standards and hotel needs.

  • Maintain training records and support career development initiatives for staff.

  • Assist in planning and delivering training workshops and orientations.

     

4. Employee Engagement & Well-being

  • Support the HRM in driving employee engagement programs and initiatives.

  • Contribute to achieving targeted Colleague Heartbeat results.

  • Organize staff activities, recognition events, and wellness initiatives.

     

5. Performance Management & Discipline

  • Assist with staff performance reviews and documentation.

  • Provide guidance on disciplinary matters and ensure policies are applied fairly and consistently.

  • Maintain confidential employee records and disciplinary files.

     

6. HR Audit & Compliance

  • Support HRM in preparing and improving HR audit readiness and compliance.

  • Ensure accuracy in documentation, contracts, and filing systems.

  • Conduct periodic checks to meet audit standards.

     

7. Leadership Support

  • Act as the HR department head during the absence of the HRM.

  • Provide advice and support to Heads of Departments on HR-related matters.

  • Contribute to HR strategy development and implementation.


 

Core Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practices.

  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and ability to influence others.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure.

  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality.

  • Experience in payroll, employee engagement, and HR audits is highly desirable.

  • Previous supervisory or assistant managerial experience in HR is an advantage.
