As Marketing Manager, you are a key custodian of the voco Gold Coast & IHG brand management respectively.
Critical to this role is the ability to conceptualise, plan and direct all marketing, communication & PR activities through profitable channels with a strong emphasis on public and media relations, social media and digital advertising
Your day to day
An overview of your day to day, under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Sales and Marketing, and within the limits of established hotel policies and procedures:
- Promoting timely, quality and positive communications in order to drive total Hotel revenues year-round.
- Developing and driving our owned channels, microsite and brand.com website effectiveness as these are the key to increasing customer loyalty, attracting new business and driving conversion.
- Managing daily marketing activities, plan and assign work and proactively manage key relationships with Management in all departments of the hotel as well as IHG National & Global Sales to ensure alignment across the region driving regular communication.
- Assisting in the annual marketing strategy and budget process, consulting to ensure channel optimisation for direct revenue, resource allocation, risk identification and new business opportunities.
- Creating, developing and executing on strategies related to marketing, communication, PR, social media and digital advertising whilst implementing digital marketing strategy through programmes and initiatives to stimulate demand.
- Leveraging all programmes, platforms and initiatives from IHG Corporate for deployment on property through distribution channels, strengthening customer relationships through Social and Earned Media, and monitoring both hotel, outlet and competitors’ presence on social media for performance enhancement.
What we need from you
- A Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field.
- Two or more years of experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success within digital and social media marketing.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations campaigns.
- Significant understanding of the GC market.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with senior management, directors and owners.
- Strong organisational and influencing skills with a record of consistently delivering results as per business priorities.
