A little taste of your day-to-day:

As a Bar Attendant, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth operation of our bar and ensuring our guests enjoy a welcoming and memorable experience. You will work closely with our bartenders and the wider Food & Beverage team to provide efficient service while maintaining the high standards expected at InterContinental.

• Welcoming guests warmly and providing friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Assisting bartenders with the preparation and service of beverages as required.
• Preparing and maintaining the bar area before, during, and after service.
• Ensuring glassware, equipment, garnishes, and other bar supplies are clean, organized, and readily available.
• Replenishing beverages, ice, glassware, and other bar items throughout the shift.
• Serving beverages and taking guest orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with hotel standards.
• Having a good understanding of the beverage menu and being able to assist guests with general recommendations.
• Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the bar, service areas, and equipment at all times.
• Supporting stock checks and ensuring products are stored correctly and handled carefully.
• Working closely with bartenders, servers, kitchen colleagues, and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Following all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and responsible beverage service requirements.
• Assisting with opening and closing duties and supporting special events or functions when required.
• Demonstrating IHG values through positive interactions with guests and colleagues every day.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or similar Food & Beverage environment.
• Basic knowledge of beverages and bar operations would be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, professional, and guest-focused approach.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of beverages and bar service.
• Good command of English; additional languages would be an advantage.
