Beverage Manager - InterContinental Cairo Citystars

At InterContinental Cairo Citystars, we don't just serve drinks – we craft experiences. We're now seeking a visionary Beverage Manager to lead our bar programs, elevate our guest journey, and set new standards of excellence in one of Cairo's most iconic luxury hotels.

Your day-to-day

• Develop and continuously enhance the beverage strategy and offerings across all 
• restaurants and bars, including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, and signature beverage programs.
• Create innovative and commercially successful cocktail menus, beverage concepts, promotions, activations, and seasonal offerings.
• Ensure beverage menus remain relevant to market trends, guest expectations, outlet positioning, and commercial objectives.
• Work closely with Executive Chefs, Restaurant Managers,, Sales, and F&B leadership to develop food & beverage pairing concepts and guest experiences.
• Establish and maintain beverage standards, recipes, specifications, presentation, and service procedures across all outlets.
• Lead regular beverage training, masterclasses, workshops, tastings, and product knowledge sessions for F&B colleagues.
• Develop bartenders and beverage colleagues through structured coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of beverage teams.
• Lead the development, selection, and maintenance of bar OS&E, including glassware, bar tools, equipment, presentation items, and operational requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with beverage suppliers, distributors, and brand partners and identify opportunities for collaborations, sponsorships, and activations.
• Oversee beverage inventory management, including stock levels, requisitions, receiving, storage, transfers, par levels, and monthly inventories.
• Monitor beverage cost of sales, wastage, breakage, variance, and profitability, implementing corrective action where required.
• Ensure proper beverage controls and procedures are consistently followed across all outlets.
• Conduct regular outlet audits to ensure compliance with beverage quality, presentation, hygiene, service, and brand standards.
• Research international beverage trends and introduce innovative concepts suitable for the Cairo market.
• Support F&B leadership with budgets, forecasts, pricing strategies, business plans, and beverage-related CAPEX proposals.
• Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, IHG standards, local legislation, food safety requirements, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Maintain a high level of guest engagement and actively respond to beverage-related guest feedback.
• Participate in tastings, menu reviews, pre-openings, new concept development, and special events across the complex.
• Drive a culture of creativity, continuous improvement, commercial awareness, and operational excellence within the beverage teams.

What we need from you

• Minimum 5 years of relevant beverage management or senior bartending experience within international luxury or 5-star hotels, high-end standalone bars, restaurants, or comparable hospitality environments.
• Proven experience in beverage program development, cocktail creation, bar operations, and beverage cost control.
• Strong knowledge of international spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, coffee, and non alcoholic beverage trends.
• Demonstrated experience in training, coaching, and developing beverage teams.
• Experience managing beverage inventories, purchasing, stock controls, and OS&E.
• Strong commercial understanding with the ability to develop profitable beverage offerings.
• International hotel or multi-outlet experience is highly preferred.
• Formal mixology, WSET, spirits, wine, or other relevant beverage qualifications would be an advantage.

• Confident in conducting presentations, workshops, tastings, and supplier meetings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with guests, colleagues, suppliers, and business partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume luxury hospitality environment.
