As a Landscaping Trade Assistant, you’ll help maintain the gardens, surrounding landscape, drains and beaches throughout the resort. Your work will ensure our tropical surroundings remain lush, vibrant and beautifully presented for our guests.

With naturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task with devotion, pride and attention to detail.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining resort gardens, lawns and landscaped areas.

• Assisting with planting, pruning, weeding and general garden maintenance.

• Supporting basic irrigation maintenance and repairs.

• Maintaining drains and surrounding landscape areas.

• Assisting with the presentation and maintenance of resort beaches.

• Operating landscaping equipment, power tools and hand tools safely.

• Supporting the broader Engineering team with daily maintenance activities.

• Ensuring work areas, tools and equipment are kept clean, safe and organised.

• Reporting maintenance issues and completing relevant work records.

• Helping maintain the high presentation standards expected across the resort.

Base: $31.30 + loading + penalties

To be successful in this full-time role, you will have:

• Previous experience in landscaping, Horticulture, or Garden Maintenance.

• A current Queensland Construction Safety Induction White Card.

• A valid Australian driver licence.

• Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and plant care.

• Practical experience using building equipment, power tools and hand tools.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, email and reporting systems.

• Experience with systems such as HotSoS and Hardcat will be highly regarded.

• An EWP licence/ticket is desirable.

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• A positive, reliable and hands-on approach to your work.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a remote island environment.
