What is the job?

We are recruiting for two different casual Food & Beverage opportunities, with immediate starts available:

Bartender & Barista (Ongoing)

We are looking for an experienced and engaging Bartender who can also confidently support our coffee service.

This is a casual but ongoing opportunity suited to someone seeking regular work beyond the summer season. You will bring confidence behind the bar, a genuine connection with guests and the flexibility to support different Food & Beverage areas depending on operational needs.

Previous bartending experience is strongly preferred, together with barista skills or demonstrated experience preparing espresso coffee. Cocktail-making experience, product knowledge and experience working in a busy bar, restaurant or hotel environment will be highly regarded.

F&B Attendant (Seasonal)

We are also looking for adaptable and enthusiastic F&B Attendants to support our team throughout the busy summer and peak event period.

These are seasonal casual positions expected to continue until March 2027, depending on operational requirements.

You may work as an all-rounder across core Restaurant and Bar, The Deck, Banquets, In-Room Dining or Mini Bar. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but it is not essential if you bring strong customer service skills, reliability and a genuine willingness to learn.

Your day to day

Bartender & Barista (Ongoing)

Bar and Barista Operations – Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and espresso coffee. Provide knowledgeable recommendations, maintain a clean and organised bar, and process guest transactions accurately.

Guest Experience – Deliver warm, personalised service while following responsible service of alcohol, hygiene and safety requirements. Monitor alcohol consumption, check identification when required and respond appropriately to guest feedback.

F&B Attendant (Seasonal)

Restaurant and Banquets Service – Welcome guests, take orders and provide attentive food and beverage service across core Restaurant and Bar, The Deck, Banquets and Events.

Hotel F&B Operations – Assist with event set-up and pack-down, maintain clean and inviting service areas, and support other outlets depending on your training and operational requirements. You will begin in an area suited to your skills and experience, with opportunities to progressively cross-train.

What we need from you

We value attitude and potential. You are passionate about service, honest, humble, willing to help and keen to learn.

• The ability to work late-night finishes during peak periods, which may be between 12:00am and 3:00am. This is an essential requirement.
• Full flexibility across a rotating seven-day roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A valid Tasmanian RSA, or willingness to obtain.
• Warm, genuine and confident communication skills.
• A reliable work ethic and willingness to support different areas in the hotel.
• Based in Hobart or already planning to relocate.

Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred, particularly in restaurants, bars, cafés, banquets, events or similar fast-paced service environments. We also welcome applicants with strong customer service skills from other customer-facing industries. Hospitality qualifications are advantageous, but not essential, and training and cross-training will be provided.

For the ongoing Bartender opportunity, previous bartending experience is strongly preferred, with barista skills highly regarded. For the seasonal F&B Attendant opportunities, we are looking for a positive attitude, broad availability and a willingness to learn and contribute across different F&B areas.
