This is an entry level role that would help assist with marketing, communications, activations and events, supporting the Sales Department. The role will also be able to assist the Food & Beverage team with ongoing projects at The Barclay. 

This job requires the ability to be proficient in the following:

• Internal and external communication for Social Media, F&B Marketing and PR Support

• Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Canva, Hotel Websites, etc.

• Brand Identity/Collateral Inventory Management for re-ordering and new orders (processing invoices, updating excel, etc.)

• Keep up to date with Social Media trends and engagement to better understand and reach out desired audiences. Review social dashboard and make suggestions on how to increase outreach.

• Creativity for building offers and activations, along with developing signage in the hotel and digital promotions for Social Media/PR and websites.

• Manage promotional campaigns, including marketing newsletters, stay packages, meeting and event offers, along with other hotel profiles.

• Manage IHG website updates for ongoing offers, revised hours, The Parlour (Restaurant and Bar) activations, holiday pages, Calendar of Events, Digital concierge, etc.

• Support the team in promoting the hotels culture and creating / executing on property colleague events / activations.

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; proven ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

• May be required to work, weekends, and/or holidays – with advance notice.

• Microsoft Office proficient

The salary range for this role is $20.00-$30.00 USD hourly. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City, NY. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
