Are you ready to roll up your sleeves? What’s next on your career menu? We're looking for a dynamic Restaurant and Bar Manager to lead the operations of Ember & Vine Restaurant, Aviator Bar, and provide support for Banquets. In this key role, you will ensure the seamless operation and customer-focused delivery of food and beverages. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in working closely with the team on shift to deliver outstanding service, crafting memorable and personalised experiences for our valued guests.
Your day to day
- Lead the team in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest, setting the stage for a memorable experience. Provide attentive, efficient service that ensures each guest enjoys a delightful and seamless visit
- Serve a diverse selection of delicious dishes, from our restaurant and bar, along with brewed coffee, local South Australian Wine, outstanding cocktails and other beverages
- Keep the restaurant, bar and banquet areas clean, organised, and inviting, reflecting our commitment to excellence
- Anticipate guest needs, address any issues promptly, and create memorable dining experiences that keep guests coming back
- Manage and streamline inventory systems and processes, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained and efficiently supported
- Assist in recruitment and selection of new team members
- Foster a positive work environment, ensuring your team is motivated, engaged, and delivering excellent service
- Coordinate meetings and events for the F&B functions and collaborate with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Support with department financial responsibilities
What we need from you
- Passion for restaurant and bar operations with a vast knowledge of food and beverages
- Degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field and/or; 4+ years’ related experience, including multiple venue management experience
- A passion for delivering results and developing people and self
- Flexible with nights, weekend and public holiday shifts
- Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation or willing to obtain
- Responsible Person badge or willingness to obtain
- Have a service focused attitude, with a talent for delivering impeccable table service, including fostering policies and procedures to ensure consistency and high service
- You’ll know how to prepare a wide range of drinks and be able to train others
- You’ll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling
- You excel at communication, radiating warmth and approachability that makes conversations easy and enjoyable
- Display a commitment to our guests by consistently maintaining a high level of quality at all times
