Stewarding Supervisor at InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay

At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay, exceptional hospitality begins behind the scenes with exceptional people.

We are looking for a Stewarding Supervisor who brings strong leadership, discipline, and pride to the operation. You will ensure our kitchens, back-of-house areas, equipment, and operating supplies are consistently clean, safe, organised, and ready for service.

Behind every exceptional dining experience is a well-prepared culinary operation. As Stewarding Supervisor, you will lead the stewarding team, support our Culinary and F&B colleagues, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, safety, and operational efficiency.

You will be a hands-on leader who sets the standard, supports the team, and ensures the operation is always ready.

Your Day-to-Day

No two shifts are exactly the same. You will move between leadership, service coordination, and operational support throughout the day.

Lead the Team

• Supervise and allocate daily stewarding duties
• Conduct briefings and provide coaching and support
• Monitor attendance, grooming, performance, and productivity
• Lead by example, especially during busy periods

Maintain Standards

• Ensure kitchens and back-of-house areas are clean and organised
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP compliance
• Ensure crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils, and equipment are ready for service
• Monitor correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Report maintenance, safety, and operational issues promptly

Support the Operation

• Work closely with Culinary, F&B, Engineering, and other departments
• Support smooth opening, service, and closing procedures
• Manage waste, breakage, and stewarding supplies responsibly
• Support events, high-volume operations, and special requirements
• Ensure effective shift handovers and communication

• Clean, safe, and well-organised kitchens and back-of-house areas
• Culinary and F&B teams have the support and equipment they need
• Strong hygiene and safety standards are consistently maintained
• Stewarding colleagues are confident, engaged, and well supported
• Equipment, chemicals, and resources are used responsibly
• Communication across departments is smooth and effective

What We Need From You

Education
• Hospitality or related qualification preferred
• Food safety/hygiene certification is an advantage

Experience
• 2–3 years of hotel stewarding or similar hospitality experience
• Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor, Senior Steward, or Team Leader
• Luxury/upscale hotel or residential hospitality experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, dishwashing, and back-of-house operations
• GCC/Dubai experience is an advantage
