Your day to day

In this unique role as Coxswain & Fishing Deck Hand, you will escort guests on fishing expeditions in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This Coxswain reports into the Assistant Manager of Water Sports and oversees the day-to-day water sports activities, excursions and vessel maintenance whilst always observing the highest regard for all safety regulations.

You’ll play a key role in bring to life the water sports activities on the island, and on any given day you will find yourself doing the below;

What We Need From You

Ideally, you will have 1-2 years of previous experience in a coxswain role or be an experienced deckhand who has recently acquired their coxswain ticket and wants to grow their career. Holding your current first aid, CPR and O2 provider, you will also have knowledge of snorkelling, reefs and outboards with experience in game and reef fishing. Knowledge of the Whitsundays and local surrounds as well as exposure to a Resort environment is desirable but not essential.
