Your day-to-day 

  • Follow HACCP guidelines and ensure that colleagues comply with HACCP guidelines 
  • Prepares and bakes all bakery items for menu and catered events following standardized recipes
  • Looks after the full bread and pastries production line
  • Ensure the food cost of his Bakery is in line with budget kitchen operating supplies, and kitchen energy costs
  • Estimates baking needs, requisitions adequate supplies, inventories supplies, and keeps records of products made and used
  • Manage inventory, ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are stocked and available 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new pastry-baker techniques, incorporating them into our menu and offerings 
  • Manage costs and budget for the pastry department, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality 
  • Assist in creating and updating menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences

What We need from you:

  • Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience as a baker in well-known international hotel brands 
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to design and create new pastry recipes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage inventory and costs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with other departments
  • Flexibility and adaptability
