A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Stocking and Replenishment: Regularly check and replenish mini bars in assigned guest rooms, ensuring all items are within expiration dates and presented neatly. This includes beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), snacks, and other amenities offered in the mini bar.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of mini bar inventory, tracking consumption and reporting any discrepancies or losses to the supervisor.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure mini bars are clean, organized, and in proper working order. This includes cleaning the refrigerator, dusting shelves, and reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
- Billing and Reconciliation: Accurately record mini bar consumption for billing purposes, ensuring charges are correctly posted to guest accounts. This may involve using a handheld device or other tracking system.
- Guest Service: Respond to guest requests regarding mini bar items, such as special requests or replacements. Provide courteous and efficient service to enhance the guest experience.
- Compliance: Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to hygiene, safety, and alcohol service. This includes verifying legal drinking age when necessary.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure smooth coordination and efficient service.
- Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage areas for mini bar supplies.
What we need from you
- The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling
- A good grasp of reading, writing and basic math
- The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol – you’ll need to be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language
- Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
