Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities of the role)

The Key responsibilities of RFP Specialists are:

 

· Manage the whole negotiation process for Business Edge Accounts.

· Build good working relationships with the Business Edge Team, Sales Generalists, IHG Sellers and corporate clients.

· Implement the Sales Strategies of IHG Global Sales.

· Compile the client’s hotel requirements and prepare the needed documents for negotiations.

· Create bids/RFPs (Request for Proposals) in the IHG RFP tool and other partnered third party RFP websites.

· Recommend to the client the hotels to be solicited from analysis based on the City Volume Reports, Number of Room Nights and client requirements.

· Assist solicited hotels in answering account queries.

· Contact hotels to follow-up bid responses to ensure that they meet the client due dates.

· Review bid responses of the hotels before submission to the clients.

· Accept/Decline bids on behalf of the client.

· Prepare Rate Loading files and correct errors.

The RFP Sales Associate must:

· Analyze reports, trends and data in relation to the performance of their assigned accounts.

· Recommend solutions to the Sales Associates, Sellers or Clients.

· Use own judgment and initiative to effectively resolve cases

· Perform administrative duties as assigned by team manager
