With the strategic rapid growth of our luxury brands in Qatar at IHG Hotels and Resorts, we are looking for a seasoned Sales & Events Coordinator with luxury and lifestyle brand hotel experiences to join our team in Doha.
Just a stone’s throw from the many favourite sights of the Qatari capital, the hotel will welcome guests and locals to experience its 283 guest rooms, including suites and serviced apartments, and to enjoy a multitude of unique dining options.
As the Sales & Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the sales department by ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of day-to-day activities. Working closely with the wider sales team, you will help drive the growth and success of the hotel through exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and driven individual who has a passion for luxury hospitality and a keen interest in both sales and marketing functions.
Your key job responsibilities involve:
- Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, including preparing proposals, contracts, and correspondence, and coordinating client bookings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sales inquiries, providing timely responses to client requests and ensuring the highest level of customer service
- Support the team with the scheduling and coordination of meetings, site inspections, and event bookings for corporate clients, groups, and individual guests
- Assist in the development and execution of creative marketing campaigns, both online and offline, that align with the hotel's luxury brand and target audience
- Track inquiries and bookings from online and offline channels
What We Need From You
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a sales coordinator role, preferably within the luxury hospitality
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, guests, and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Opera) is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering excellent service
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
