At InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort we are looking for an experienced Steward - Team Leader -  to join our team

Your day to day

Reporting to the Chief Steward, you will support the Food and Beverage operation of the Resort by;

• Supervising and training the stewarding department colleagues whilst on shift
• Maintaining the consumption of all stewarding chemicals whilst on shift
• Supervise the sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene, as well as the quality level of product and services, to ensure brand standards and HACCP requirements are maintained
• Ensure that all stewarding colleagues follow safety instructions whilst cleaning machinery
• Conduct regular checks to ensure that service and kitchen operating equipment is properly cleaned
• Attend any required meeting to ensure communication and positive culture flows to all Stewarding colleagues

What we need from you

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with employees and third parties that reflects the high standard of the hotel and the IHG brand.
• Time management skills, delegation, a drive for results and strong employee engagement skills.
• Neat Personal Presentation
• Able to read and write basic English
• Flexibility -  mornings,  evenings, weekends and public holidays are all part of the job
