As our new Assistant Director of Restaurants & Bars at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, you will support the Director of Restaurants+Bars+Events in ensuring our guests enjoy a truly memorable experience—whether they’ve worked up an appetite for a full conference banquet or are just joining us for their favorite hot beverage.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is differentbut you’ll mostly be:

  • Supporting the Director of Restaurants+Bars+Events overseeing daily operations across all dining venues, in-room dining, private events, banqueting, and poolside experiences.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the division's annual business plan and strategies to drive revenue, control expenses, and foster sustainable growth.
  • Ensuring all guest touchpoints reflect Kimpton’s strategic pillars and service philosophy, meeting Forbes Travel Guide standards.
  • Engaging with guests daily to gather feedback and refine the guest experience.
  • Collaborating with the Director and the Executive Chef to craft immersive, story-driven dining concepts and visually appealing, error-free menus.
  • Participating in recruitment and succession planning, mentoring team members, and promoting a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Monitoring financial performance, proposing menu adjustments, and aligning expenses with revenue targets to ensure economic efficiency.
  • Upholding the highest hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards, working towards HACCP certification.

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage or Food & Beverage Manager in a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel.
  • A diploma in hospitality management is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills to develop and inspire a high-performing team.
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to operations and guest engagement.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to foster collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to a dynamic hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese, speaking and writing; additional language skills are an advantage.
