• Assist the Hygiene & HACCP Manager with the day-to-day requirements of IC Madinah Hotels.
• Be responsible for maintaining the highest level of Food Hygiene and Safety standards in the hotel.
• Work mostly in the production areas, monitoring that food safety procedures are being followed.
• Ensure proper documentation and records are completed by the responsible parties.
• Problem solving related to food and safety issues.
• Assist with enforcing food safety program and procedures, and personal hygiene policies.
• Perform and record Food Safety inspection and report any irregularities and take proper corrective actions.
• Responsible for quality and safety checks for all raw and prepared food products.
• Verify and communicate to appropriate departments any findings as it relates to food safety and/or quality issues.
• Report and assist with correcting any unsanitary conditions in food preparation and food storage/receiving area.
• Report any required maintenance/replacement of food preparation equipment, surfaces, and tools.
• Assist to maintain, and update all records, manuals, training procedures, product specification books.
• Assist with preparation for any and all food safety audits.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food premises.
• Conduct supplier’s audits, respectively fill the supplier audit reports, and evaluate suppliers.
• Coordinate and support the implementation of all the guides from e-crystal Co.
• Be present during the Municipality visits and coordinate with all concerned.
• Adheres to IHG’s Business ethics.

Your day-to-day (Health & Safety)

• Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately.
• Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
• Ensures that emergency procedures are practiced and enforced to provide the security and safety of guests and employees.
• Ensures that employees work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
• Stimulates and encourages a general awareness of health and safety in tasks and activities carried out within the department.
• Follows hotel regulations and adheres to existing laws and regulations.
• Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and either corrects them or takes action to prevent them from happening.
• Ensures that the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct is maintained by all employees in the department

• Should be a HACCP/Food Safety certified.
• Applicants should possess relevant educational qualifications.
• Experience in inspecting Food premises, writing reports, and filling the checklists.
• Specialized qualification in food safety and hygiene will be an advantage.
• Should possess a track record of food safety and hygiene within the food industry.
• Ability to liaise with all departments.
• Should possess excellent communication skills.
• Very good computer skills.
• Arabic/English Communication and Written Skills
