Your day-to-day

People

  • Following instructions received from management, Head of Department, Front Office Manager and his/her replacement.
  • Checking your mailbox upon arrival and replying to e-mails according to standard procedures 
  • Be informed of recent changes, publications and memo’s
  • Always be up to date regarding information and changes that are informed during the FO handover
  • Receiving and handling complaints if possible
  • Assuring a clean and organised back office
  • A proper and neat appearance including complying with the grooming standards
  • Handling administrative tasks correctly
  • Being on time and prepared for your shift

Guest experience

  • Checking in and out of guests according to standard procedures
  • Be informed at all times about room availability and rates
  • Taking reservations when the reservations department is not in-house
  • Taking phone calls and transferring them if necessary according to standard procedures
  • Taking and storing the luggage of guests
  • Providing guests with a ticket to exit the Q-park at request and the administrative process that is required
  • Providing guests with information about the city and are
  • Correctly transferring information from/to guests and employees according to standard procedure
  • Correctly performing the handover

Financial

  •  Handling your own cash float
  • Must be aware of the number of available rooms and their prices at the start of the shift
  • Properly achievement of tasks on the check-list 
  • Make a remittance of payment in a punctual and correct way

Responsible business

  • You are aware of the Fire Life Safety and Safety standards of your department and you know how to use these. 
  • You’ll work following the Green Engage Standards. 

What we need from you

  • Secondary education – key stage 3 (MBO). Traineeships starting from around January or August.
  • Previous experience in operations is preferred
  • Speaks fluently in Dutch and English and preferably another language
  • Hospitable
  • Service-oriented
  • Eye for detail
