Whats the Job?
Your job as the Hayman Estates Team Leader you will oversee the team to ensure the Hayman Estates including private residences are cleaned to the standards set out by management and comply with InterContinental Hayman Island Resort policies and procedures.
Your day to day
Your responsibilities include promptly reporting maintenance issues in rooms and public areas, adhering to cleaning standards outlined in our Training Manual, and completing tasks efficiently within productivity guidelines. Utilize cleaning checklists daily, transport linen to and from the Resort Laundry, and perform general duties as directed by the Housekeeping supervisor. Maintain punctuality, grooming standards, and handle staff inquiries and complaints with care, ensuring they're reported to the Manager. Attend briefings, meetings, and training sessions as required, adhering to OH&S and EEO policies. Stay vigilant for safety hazards, promptly reporting incidents to supervisors. Keep housekeeping storerooms tidy, equipment well-maintained, and rooms secure. Practice safe work habits, respect guest privacy, and follow proper procedures for chemical usage.
What we need from you
- Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
- Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
- Experience - ideally you’ll have spent at least 1-2 years in a housekeeping or cleaning role
- Strength - sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling
