A clean room is the canvas upon which unforgettable guest experiences are painted. To ensure our standards never slip, we're looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to drive our team in delivering memorable moments. As part of our Pre-Opening team at the brand new Crowne Plaza Adelaide, Mawson Lakes, you'll guarantee every room is set up spotlessly for opening and beyond. We need an individual with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for perfection to make every stay excellent.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly:

  • Collaborate with Housekeeping Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive. 
  • Participate in staff recruitment and onboarding procedures
  • Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintains a record of progress for each staff member
  • Assist with the preparation of efficient departmental work schedules
  • Coach, counsel and discipline staff in breach of hotel policies and departmental procedures, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
  • Daily cleaning maintenance of back of house
  • Co-ordinating room attendants’ warm up and stretching program at commencement of shift.
  • Communicates goals and objectives and makes links with organizational goals
  • Assign tasks, setting clear, specific performance expectations, objectives, standards, and accountability
  • Demonstrate a sound awareness of OHS&W policies and procedures and ensure the dissemination of information to all team members.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures, ensuring the provision and ongoing maintenance of plant, safety systems and PPE equipment required to control hazards in the work area

What we need from you

  • Preferably 2 years housekeeping experience within a hotel environment.
  • Great communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards. 
  • You will need to be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and able to carry, push or lift heavy objects such as linen, beds, bed sheets and vacuum cleaners, and be able to frequently stand up and move about the Resorts grounds. 
  • Knowledge of safe working habits, chemical handling and hotel operations is desirable.
  • You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open driver’s license and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.
