That’s why we’re looking for Kitchen Hands who thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting our chefs and kitchen team in delivering outstanding meals. From maintaining a clean and organized kitchen to assisting with prep and dishwashing, your role will ensure that every aspect of our kitchen runs smoothly, helping us create unforgettable experiences for our guests.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Cleaning and sterilizing countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks, and cooking equipment to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators, ensuring everything is organized and properly stored.
- Receiving and organizing deliveries to the kitchen, checking orders for accuracy and freshness.
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff in basic food preparation, including cutting, peeling, and washing ingredients.
- Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes to ensure a clean and efficient workspace.
- Assisting with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure ingredients are used within their shelf life.
What We need from you:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required; additional culinary or hospitality training is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a steward or kitchen assistant role within the hotel industry preferred.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety practices, including food handling procedures and cleaning techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
