We’re seeking a Venue Marketing & Events Coordinator to elevate our restaurant, bar, and exclusive event spaces into must-visit destinations. This is a newly created role, giving the right person the opportunity to shape our event offering, bring our unique spaces to life, and craft experiences that stand out in a competitive market. You’ll curate unforgettable events, manage group dining reservations, and drive revenue by positioning our venues as premier destinations for both locals and visitors.

A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Handle all F&B event inquiries – including group bookings, private, and corporate events – proactively following up on leads and securing business effectively
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns, including social media, that drive visibility and demand for our venues.
  • Assist in menu updates with the Executive Chef and Marketing team, ensuring accuracy across printed and digital platforms.
  • Activate and track F&B promotions, ensuring clear communication of offers and booking progress.
  • Work closely with our Restaurant and Bar teams to manage group dining and private event bookings, ensuring seamless service.
  • Liaise with sales to identify corporate clients hosting events, driving further sales initiatives and building repeat business.
  • Play a key role in launching and establishing a high-end yet versatile event space within the hotel.

What we need from you

  • Proven experience in Event Planning, Coordination, and/or Operations.
  • A positive, can-do attitude – someone who thrives on creating and delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Familiarity with hospitality booking systems (SevenRooms is ideal, but not mandatory).
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Proven experience in marketing and promoting events.
  • Understanding of restaurant and bar operations, with a keen eye for event execution.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
