The InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace is a luxury hotel in the center of the City with 160 rooms and suites in warm tones, natural materials, enriched with neoclassical and contemporary details. Opened on May 2023 and located in the heart of Rome, on the legendary Via Veneto, in a 1900s building originally used as the library of the American embassy and later repurposed to accommodate visiting ambassadors to Rome, the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace is an icon of the Dolce Vita.

Your day to day

Pour over a passion for serving drinks and food to our guests’ unique tastes. Which is why we’re searching for our International Luxury Hotel Brand located in Rome a Bartender with the perfect mix of skills to make every guest experience truly memorable.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Kicking off truly memorable guest experiences with the warmest of welcomes
  
  
• Always ensure the delivery of exceptional beverage service, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in greeting and waiting on all guests.
  
  
• Exceeds guest’s expectations
  
  
• Establish and maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with productive working relationships.
  
  
• Acknowledging service standards and sequence of service
  
  
• In charge during your duties of all aspects of the bar assigned
  
  
• Staying one step ahead of our guests’ needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored recommendations
  
  
• Understand all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation, and proper service. Knowledge of food allergies and intolerance
  
  
• Take orders and create tailored drinks
  
  
• Preparing and serving a wide variety of hot, cold, artisan and speciality beverages
  
  
• Receiving and processing guest payments
  
  
• Utilize the POS system
  
  
• Observe and maintain the daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment in the restaurant, and public area and make recommendations for corrections and improvement as needed
  
  
• Attend staff training
  
  
• Reporting to Bar Manager / Mixologist

What we need from you

• Good knowledge of food and beverage with an emphasis on wines
  
  
• Experience of 1 year or more within the food and beverage department with the same role in luxury hotel
  
  
• Able to work under pressure
  
  
• Friendly and positive with a flexible approach
  
  
• Good communication skills and genuine approach with our guests
  
  
• Good problem-solving skills that will turn issues into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories
  
  
• Fluent Italian with a good level of English language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
