The InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace is a luxury hotel in the center of the City with 160 rooms and suites in warm tones, natural materials, enriched with neoclassical and contemporary details. Opened on May 2023 and located in the heart of Rome, on the legendary Via Veneto, in a 1900s building originally used as the library of the American embassy and later repurposed to accommodate visiting ambassadors to Rome, the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace is an icon of the Dolce Vita.

Your day to day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Taking telephone orders, posting on POS system, preparing the tray/trolley, for delivery in the room and follow the tray/trolley collection procedure
  
  
• Work with discretion and respect when entering the guests room
  
  
• Daily delivery of amenities from Kitchen to all guest rooms in a timely manner, controlling, replacing and collecting those served on previous days
  
  
• Interacting with unsatisfied customers in a friendly, positive manner
  
  
• In charge of in room minibars: replacing stock, cleaning and guests folio charges
  
  
• Staying one step ahead of our guests’ needs
  
  
• Understand all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation, and service. Knowledge of food allergies and intolerance
  
  
• Observe and maintain the daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment in
  
  
• Attend staff training
  
  
• Reporting to Restaurant Manager / Assistant
  
  

What we need from you

• Good knowledge of food and beverage with emphasis on wines 
  
  
• Experience of 1 year or more within the food and beverage department in the same role in a luxury hotel
  
  
• Able to work under pressure
  
  
• Friendly and positive with a flexible approach
  
  
• Able to adapt with different working load
  
  
• Good communication skills and genuine approach with our guests
  
  
• Good problem-solving skills that will turn issues into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories
  
  
• Fluency in the Italian & English language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
  
  
• Familiarity with Symphony PMS
