InterContinental Mzaar Lebanon Mountain Resort and Spa is looking to hire a Finance and Business Support Manager.

The InterContinental Mzaar is located in the heart of the Lebanese Mountains, with 140 rooms and suites along with a variety of F&B outlets and banquet facilities in Lebanon.

Searching for an opportunity that just adds up? We’re looking for a new Finance and Business Support Manager with a strong enough grasp of the figures to balance managing hotel assets, maintaining a centralized accounting environment, and making accurate forecasts. 

 

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

•Implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices as required by company policy and procedures  

•Ensure financial control procedures and systems are ethical and legal  

•Participate in local recognized professional and industry organizations  

•Manage hotel contracts (example: vendor leases and/or service contracts)  

•Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done  

•Use financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating/financial issues, and recommend actions to maximize financial return   

•Create the annual operating budget for the property and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities for department heads 

•Ensure all accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and oversee the process of credit extension and collection of overdue accounts  

•Manage accounts payable to balance cash flow and reputation with suppliers  

•Analyze ROI for capital projects prior to committing funds and, upon completion, determine if anticipated results were achieved  

•Maximize cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory (avoid excessive supply), credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances  


 What We need from you:


•Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / in accounting and finance

•3-5 years of experience in hotel accounting, in a leadership role in Finance, with no less than one year of experience in that capacity 

•Knowledge of accounting management duties : processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etc  

•Experience of Sun accounting system preferred

● Good working knowledge of English & Arabic
