Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains effective vendor relations.
- Identifies and develops reliable sources of supply.
- Ensures efficient administration of all purchasing paperwork and administration as described in the CSA and as instructed by the Company.
- Responsible for the purchase of all FFE items as required and authorized.
- Responsible for the purchase of all food and beverage items through ADACO system. Responsible for receiving items, checking for quality, quantity and putting items into the correct storeroom, rotating as necessary. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ensures that all Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders are complete and handled correctly by the Purchasing staff.
- Monitors all pending Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders in ADACO to ensure any delays are kept to a minimum.
- Supervises all Purchasing staff and ensures that they follow all hotel policies and procedures.
- Participates in negotiations for service contracts.
- Keeps abreast of the marketplace as to innovation and value.
- Ensures that market surveys are completed in coordination with the Executive Chef and F\B Manager.
- Establishes and maintains effective staff relations.
- Performs related duties such as monthly inventories, par level checks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Must be proficient in English, have excellent communications skills, the ability to work well with others and have proven successful rapport with guest, vendors, and coworkers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
