The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel or facility. This position involves supporting the housekeeping staff by ensuring that all common areas and back-of-house spaces are clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies..

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Making sure every single room is at its absolute best for our guests
• Helping our guests in any way you can – whether they’ve forgotten their toothbrush or just need to find the elevator
• Maintain cleanliness in all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational areas.
• Assist housekeeping staff with room cleaning by delivering clean linens, removing trash, and restocking supplies as needed.
• Perform regular inspections of public areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Keeping your supervisor in the loop by advising them of any progress or problems
• Monitoring and controlling supplies to minimise waste
• Doing your best to reunite guests with any lost or misplaced items
• Regularly assisting with deep clean projects

What we need from you

• It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important 
• Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects 
• You may need to bend and kneel to complete some activities
• Literacy skills - reading, writing and basic maths skills 
• Flexible attitude to shifts – you may be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays

CA Salary transparency

The hourly pay range for this role is $20.92/hr. This is only applicable for jobs to be performed in San Diego, CA. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
