The InterContinental Hotels Group® properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotels. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn & Suites. In addition to over 1600 rooms, the four properties boast a selection of 16 restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800-square-metre Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000-square-metre Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, and state-of-the-art gymnasium and swimming pool facilities. A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Lead and manage a team of spa therapists and professionals, overseeing daily spa operations, including handling guest complaints, therapist needs, telephone calls, and spa reception.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and discretion, striving to exceed expectations and build guest loyalty.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring the availability of high-quality products and amenities at appropriate stock levels.
  • Oversee the scheduling of the spa team to ensure guest needs are met while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Lead by example, mentoring and guiding the team to foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and innovations, incorporating fresh ideas into the spa offerings. Develop and update spa menus to reflect current trends and guest preferences.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Assist in planning future staffing needs and recruitment in line with company guidelines. 
  • Ensure new team members receive a full induction in line with IHG guidelines, brand standards, and hotel policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date, guest-focused departmental standards and oversee their implementation.
  • Assess the grooming, discipline, and efficiency of staff under direct supervision, taking immediate action when necessary.
  • Organise regular meetings for the team to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage the spa's budget, regularly reviewing financial performance to optimise profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, such as promotions and package deals, and collaborate with the marketing team to create comprehensive strategies.
  • Oversee the inventory of spa products and supplies, managing stock levels and reordering as needed.
  • Prepare reports on the spa’s performance, including financial metrics, attendance, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure new team members receive a full induction in line with IHG guidelines, brand standards, and hotel policies.
  • Regularly review and monitor therapists' treatment performance to meet the standards set in the treatment manual.

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience in a luxury spa within a hotel setting.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management. Preference for CIDESCO or CIBTAC qualifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of spa treatments, techniques, and products, particularly in relation to luxury brands and experiences.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to analyse financial data, budgets, and drive revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team of spa professionals while effectively collaborating with colleagues, vendors, and guests.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage spa operations efficiently while prioritising quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Business English.
